The founders of RBW met on a Keele University Creative Writing course in Sept 2004.
In April 2005 Rising Brook Writers group was formed as an association and found a home at Rising Brook Branch Library.
In 2006 the first anthology was published and a touring community workshops programme opened in May of that year thanks to funding from Age Concern and SBC Community Fund.
In 2006 the first website drew breath on the social networking site MySpace: www.myspace.com/risingbrookwriters

Why not give us a call?
Sponsorship of a senior citizens' community arts project might be just what you have been looking out for to highlight your 'community spirit'.
Can you imagine your logo splashed all over our outside events as an 'official sponsor' or tucked away centre stage on the cover of our widely publicised publications?
How about being photographed attending one of our book launches?
How good would that feel?
Getting the idea? - Hey why not pull out all the stops and become Rising Brook Writers 'Patron of the Arts'?
